Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you visit the Pulse website, join the waitlist or write to us. The app will have its own privacy policy at launch.
Who we are
This website is run by Pulse (“Pulse”, “we”), the controller of your personal data. For any privacy question, write to contact@ilisdigital.com or choose “Privacy and data” as the topic in the contact form.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address; optionally your name, city, phone type, favourite genres, the services you listen on and whether you’d like to join beta tests; your consent record, language and the time you signed up.
- Contact form: topic, your name, email address and message.
- Security: a salted, irreversible hash of your IP address, your country and the result of the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check when you submit a form. We never store the IP address itself.
- Analytics (only with your consent): the pages you visit, device and browser type, approximate region. Cloudflare Web Analytics keeps only totals and uses no cookies.
Why we use it and our legal bases
- To send launch and early access updates: based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To reply to your message: to act on your request.
- To protect our forms from spam and abuse: based on our legitimate interests.
- To plan the launch (seeing in total which cities and music services people are interested in): based on our legitimate interests.
- Analytics cookies: only with your consent.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data or share it for advertising. We only share what’s needed with providers who work on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, security, bot checks and cookieless analytics.
- Google: Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- An email delivery provider: only your email address and name, once we start sending updates.
International transfers
Our providers may process data on servers outside your country. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards required by UK and EU GDPR and Turkish law (KVKK), such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist entries: until you leave the list or until 12 months after launch.
- Contact messages: up to 12 months after we reply.
- IP hashes: kept with the record they belong to, only to prevent abuse.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.
Your rights
Under UK and EU GDPR and Turkish law (KVKK) you can access your data, ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, object to its use, ask for a copy in a portable format and withdraw your consent at any time.
If you live in the United States (for example California), you have the right to know what we collect, and to correct and delete it. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of any such sale or sharing. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
Send your request to contact@ilisdigital.com or through the contact form and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the ICO in the UK, your local data protection authority in the EU, or the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority.
Age
The site and waitlist are not for anyone under 16. If we learn that someone under 16 has sent us data, we delete it.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), access to data is limited and IP addresses are only kept as irreversible hashes. No system is perfect; if a breach happens, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
Changes
When we update this policy we change the date at the top. We’ll also email people on the waitlist about significant changes.
